Celebrating 3 months in our Finnieston yoga studio with more new classes and workshops!

It’s been 3 months since we moved to our new studio in The Hidden Lane and we hope you’re enjoying practice there as much as we are!

I must admit it was a struggle to get the studio ready on time and we’re still working on the details, but the space is always warm and cosy and has such a lovely vibe when everyone is in there practising.

As you know our intention is to create a dedicated ashtanga studio – where possible keeping in line with the way things are done in Mysore and staying true to the tradition of Sri K Pattabhi Jois.

As such we will always run a variety of guided classes but will always be encouraging students towards traditional Mysore style practice! Check our workshops page for upcoming Mysore workshops.

Gem will be continuing to expand her programme of yin classes to help you open those stubborn tight areas in your body. There is a new yin/yang class starting on Monday, 6th November at 18:15, continuing each Monday after that.

We now have a monthly led primary series class followed by conference one Saturday each month. This is a chance to learn about and discuss all aspects of ashtanga yoga: traditions, asanas, philosophy, history. Last time we talked about the yoga sutras and the eight limbs. We also had tea and chocolate cake

The next session is this Saturday, 11th November 2017 – everyone is welcome, you don’t have to do the led class if you don’t want to! You can just come to conference and eat cake. Conference is free for regular students.

Workshops
Workshops are designed to assist and complement your ashtanga practice. Upcoming workshops between now and Christmas include Intro to Mysore, Ultimate Yin, Arm Balancing and Foundations of Practice.

We will be introducing more yoga philosophy in the coming months too.

Finally, we are honoured to be hosting internationally renowned certified ashtanga teacher Harmony Slater at the studio for a weekend of Mysore and workshops in April 2018. View the schedule for our weekend with Harmony.

Thanks so much for all your support and class attendance over the last three months!

Cathy and Gem
