Refining the Foundations of your Ashtanga Practice
Afternoon Yoga Workshop Saturday 23rd August 2.30 – 5pm

Join me for this yoga workshop to revisit and refine the foundational elements of the Ashtanga method necessary for sustainable progress on the mat.
In this workshop, we’ll slow things down to explore how breath, alignment, and core technique build the strength and clarity needed for a deeper practice that is both grounded and expansive, and actually feels GOOD!
We’ll dive into the basics that often get rushed through, the little details that make a big difference, because it is through this exacting precision that we often experience those “aha!” moments.
Through focused work on technique, guided exploration, meticulous attention to detail and intelligent use of modifications and props, you’ll learn how cultivating strong roots:
-
Enhances stability and balance
-
Supports safe and confident progression into more demanding postures
-
Prevents injury and encourages longevity in your practice
-
Deepens your internal awareness and energetic connection
This is an informal yoga workshop suitable for all students who want to deepen their understanding of Ashtanga, whether working on building consistency, overcoming plateaus, or preparing to explore more advanced asana. We’ll break things down, explore technique and leave time for questions/discussion!
